Public transport:

The ActiLingua Apartment-Hotel*** is located on a quiet residential street in Vienna's 11th district (Simmering). The next underground station (U3 "Zippererstraße") and a tramway station (Linie 71 "Molitorgasse") lie within 5 min. walking distance. From there it's just a 10 min. ride to the city centre ("Stephansplatz").

From Vienna International Airport (Schwechat):

Airport-Transfer: Go to Airport-Driver.at or call +43-1-22822. Transfer can be booked online and is ususally cheaper than taking a normal taxi or than booking airport transfer directly at the airport. We are happy to organize the transfer for you, too.

CAT: The CAT (City Airport Train) leads from Airport Schwechat to "Wien Mitte". There you have to change to underground U3 towards "Simmering" and get off at station "Zipperergasse". From there it's just 5 minutes walking distance.

From the Westbahnhof / Train Station West:
For those arriving at the Westbahnhof, we suggest taking the U3 underground line towards "Simmering". Get off at station "Zippererstraße". From there it's just 5 minutes walking distance.

From the Südbahnhof / Train Station South:
For those arriving at the Südbahnhof, we suggest taking the tramway line 18 towards "Schlachthausgasse" until you reach the stop "Sankt Marx". There, change into the tramway line 71 towards "Kaiserebersdorf" and go to station "Molitorgasse".

From the A23 motorway towards Budapest:
Take the "St. Marx" exit. Travel along "Franzosengraben"; take the first left onto "Baumgasse".
From "Baumgasse" take the first left onto "Litfaßstraße" and then the first left onto "Rinnböckstraße".
The first road left off "Rinnböckstraße" is "Schneidergasse".
There is free public parking available on the street in the local area around the hotel. Parking in the 11th district is generally free of charge (except in marked short term parking zones). Parking garages (Enkplatz 1, Simmeringer Hauptstraße 171) charge about EUR 1,50 per hour.

By public transport:

Tramway line 71 towards "Kaiserebersdorf" stops at station "Molitorgasse". From there it's just a 3 min. walk to reach the ActiLingua Apartment-Hotel***.

Underground line U3 towards "Simmering" stops at station "Zippererstraße". From there it's just a 5 min. walk to reach the ActiLingua Apartment-Hotel***.


 

Palmenhaus, Vienna   Local Attractions:

Local attractions include the Belvedere castle - a marvel of baroque architecture, Hundertwasser house - one of Vienna's number one tourist attractions and the highly popular Vienna Gasometer complex which boasts various restaurants, shops, a supermarket, cinema, gym, private apartments, music hall and a municipal archive. Also of interest in the 11th district is Vienna's Zentralfriedhof (Main Cemetery) where many well-known people are buried including: Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, Brahms, Schubert and Falco.

The Simmeringer Hauptstraße offers small shops, restaurants and bars for varied local supply. „Gasometer City“ is a center of events, cinemas and shops and one of the examples of Viennese modern architecture situated in a historic environment.

With the subway, the luxurious Viennese shopping streets are just some minutes away:

Kärntner Straße and Graben (close to Stephansplatz) are a famous destination for tourists, shoppers and flaneurs. The Hotel Sacher - try the worldfamous Sachertorte, a chocolate cake, here - and several traditional coffeehouses are waiting for you to take a short break on your tour! Some of the Shops you will find on Graben include Escada, Mont Blanc, Paul & Shark, Meinl am Graben, Jacardi, Rasper & Söhne, Augarten Porzellan; on Kohlmarkt you will enjoy Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chopard, Loro Piano, Valentino, Wolford, Ferragamo, Schullin, Gucci, Chanel, Armani, Cartier, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany.

Mariahilfer Straße (the border between 6th and 7th district) is Viennas longest shopping street and it offers branches of international shops. In the smaller surrounding streets (Neubaugasse, Lindengasse, Siebensterngasse), lots of local designers present their creations (shoes, clothing, accessoires) - yours to discover! In Museumsquartier you will find innovative art and music shops in the quartier21.

Out of Vienna, shoppers can find interesting offers in the Factory-Outlets: Designer Outlet Parndorf and Outlet Leoville as well as the Schuhparadies Wunderl Sollenau are not even one hour by car and local bus companies organise trips on a regular basis.
